A special word of thanks to Pastor Lee Brown of Altitude Church of God in Arvada, Colorado for this timely call to shared prayer for our world, for one another, and for all.

Our nation and world are experiencing unprecedented times. As believers in Jesus Christ, one of the ways that we are a light in dark times is to lift up our nation, our city, and our world in prayer. There is a lot of fear regarding the coronavirus, yet we are not called to be a people defined by fear, but love.

During your prayer time, we ask you to pray against fear. May we be reminded that fear is an emotion, but faith is a decision.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and sound judgement. – 2 Timothy 1:7 (CSB)

What  can we say about these things? If God is for us, then who can be against us? – Romans 8:31 (CSB)

Altitude Church is calling for an extended season of prayer. We ask that you take at least 15 minutes each day to pray for God’s presence in the midst of this current situation.

In order to help you in this time, we are attaching a prayer guide. You may not pray for each of these each time you pray, but as we continue through this season, may these be a guide and jumping off point for your prayers.

Pray for your families.

Pray for your friends and neighbors.

Pray for our church, the pastors, leaders, staff and board of elders.

Pray for our state pastor and his family.

Pray for our sister churches and congregations.

Pray for all the churches in our state and worldwide.

Pray for our community, our city, our state, and our nation for anyone that the virus may have affected.

Pray for the other countries and their people that have been affected by the virus.

Pray for containment of the virus.

Pray for the first responders, hospitals, and medical teams.

Pray for courage for believers to share Jesus through this time of crisis.

Pray for opportunities and doors to be opened, to be ready to share the Hope we have in Jesus.

Pray for the spiritual warfare that is going on in people’s lives and in our world.

Pray that our focus does not take away our calling to be instruments/vessels of God; to be beacons of light and to be kingdom minded.

Pray that souls are enticed/guided toward the kingdom.

For this is what the Lord has commanded us: I have made you a light for the Gentiles to bring salvation to the ends of the earth. Acts 13:47 CSB

God promises that if Gods people humble ourselves, Pray and seek His face, and turn from our evil ways, then He will hear from heaven, forgive our sin, and heal our land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 CSB

God truly goes before us, behind us, and WITH us.

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21 NIV
