Passion & Purpose

If you want to experience passion or purpose you can get the both when you are around Pastor Melissa Chastain! The Chastain family have been living in the Rockies for 8 years and serve with a non-denominational congregation, Copper Mountain Community Church, where Melissa is now the Teaching Pastor. The entire Chastain family of 5 also are integrated into the high adrenaline ministry of SSFC (Skiers & Snowboards For Christ).

For all of the rush their family ministry model is really quite simple:

  • Love.
  • Love God.
  • Love one another.
  • Love people.
  • Love them all well and long.

From a mountain top chapel worship service to handing out cookies to all of the employees of Copper Mountain you will find Pastor Melissa, 1st Dude Don, their family, and their church family doing just this – loving well and long!

Meet Mike Hooven

God called Pastor Mike Hooven and his family to the Cloverdale Church of God in 2015. It didn’t take them long to discover that the neighborhood and community were in dramatic shift and change. Pastor Mike began volunteering 1-day-a-week at the local elementary school, serving children and their families, and learning more than he could have ever imagined.

In the midst of this God planted a desire deep in Pastor Mike’s heart, “What if we could help start a Spanish-speaking ministry right here in our neighborhood? What if it were right here in the Cloverdale Church?”

God did it! Today Pastor Enrique and 1st Lady Maria are planting a brand-new, Spanish-speaking congregation – La Iglesia de Dios IMPACTO – INSIDE the existing building of the Cloverdale Church of God!!  Cloverdale is covering the building expenses, Pastor Enrique and Maria are both working full-time jobs, and God is beginning a new thing before their very eyes.
